IT Professional

Education

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field is typically preferred. However, relevant work experience or vocational training may also be considered.

Proficiency in various IT technologies, tools, and platforms relevant to the position, such as programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#), operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), databases (e.g., SQL, MongoDB), networking protocols, cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity principles a plus.

Experience

Previous experience in IT. Entry-level 1-2 years of relevant experience. Experience in software development, systems administration, network engineering, cybersecurity, or IT support is preferred.

Problem-Solving Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently. Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems is essential.

Communication Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Experience documenting technical procedures, writing reports, and providing user support is desirable.

​Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, project managers, and business stakeholders, to achieve common goals and objectives.

Adaptability

Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies, tools, and methodologies as needed.

Certifications

Relevant certifications will enhance an applicant's candidacy.  CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) a plus.

Customer Service Orientation

Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to understand and fulfill the needs of end-users and stakeholders. Providing timely and effective support to users is essential for success in this role.

Attention to Detail and Problem Management

Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to follow technical specifications, standards, and procedures closely. Ensuring the integrity and security of IT systems and data is paramount.

Ability to manage IT incidents, problems, and changes according to ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) or similar frameworks. Experience with incident management, problem resolution, and change management processes is beneficial.
